The BCI RPG is an accessible, online, turn-based, cooperative, social, multiplayer, role-playing game platform. Although supporting regular device (mouse, keyboard, etc.) interaction, the BCI RPG is designed from the ground up to be 100% usable with alternative Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) "with just your thoughts", by supporting various combinations of non-invasive Electroencephalogram (EEG), Electromyogram (EMG), electrooculogram (EOG), Brain-computer Interface (BCI) neurotech (like OpenBCI, NeuroRPG, and others) and related "accessibility" technologies combined with optional Machine Learning (ML), Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR & AR), the Matrix.org Chat & Data, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), the BCI RPG opensource volunteer community at the non-profit RPG Research is striving to build the ultimate in role-playing game accessibility for everyone. We're using neurotech (neuroscience based technologies) so that players can play a multiplayer, social, live, turn-based, cooperative, role-playing game online, just by thinking! Donate or Volunteer Today! Additional technical and financial support is provided to this project by the for-profit organization RPG Therapeutics LLC through their NeuroRPG products and services.
## Brain-Computer Interface Role-Playing Game ## Brain-Computer Interface Role-Playing Game
BCI RPG, an accessible online platform, actively redefines the landscape of role-playing games as a turn-based, cooperative, social, multiplayer experience. This platform, while fully compatible with conventional devices like mice and keyboards, primarily stands out for its groundbreaking design. It enables complete operability through a variety of Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), allowing players to control the game using only their thoughts. This functionality stems from its support for a wide range of non-invasive neurotechnologies, including Electroencephalogram (EEG), Electromyogram (EMG), electrooculogram (EOG), and Brain-computer Interface (BCI) technologies, notably OpenBCI and NeuroRPG.
In its commitment to ultimate accessibility, BCI RPG integrates advanced "accessibility" technologies, utilizing Machine Learning (ML), Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR & AR), Matrix.org Chat & Data, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The RPG Research, a dedicated non-profit volunteer community, drives this initiative, aiming to deliver the most accessible role-playing game experience available. By harnessing neurotech, which draws on neuroscience-based technologies, BCI RPG enables players to immerse in a multiplayer, social, live, turn-based, cooperative role-playing game online, controlled purely through thought.
To support this groundbreaking project, we encourage donations and volunteering. RPG Therapeutics LLC, a for-profit organization, also plays a crucial role by providing substantial technical and financial support through their NeuroRPG products and services.

Created by "The Grandfather of Therapeutic Gaming", Hawke Robinson is Executive Director and founder of the 501(c)3 non-profit RPG Research. Both our founder and the organization are huge advocates for accessibility and inclusiveness.
Our founder's background in nursing, recreation therapy, gaming, neuroscience, music, and more has inspired his decades-long endeavor to using non-invasive neuro-and-bio technologies for people with accessibility issues, as well as enhanced experiences for the general public. Our founder was first involved with role-playing games in 1977. He also began software development and engaging in the online community in 1979 (through the University of Utah) and various BBSes. He has been involved with VR equipment since the late 1980s using Amigas (still has working Amiga 2000) and other equipment over the decades. Developed Virtual-Reality Markup Language (VRML) websites in the mid-to-late-90s. Experimenting with early AR in the late 90s and early 2000s with early PDAs and "smartphones" long before iOS and Android existed (Nokia, Palm phones, etc), combined with early location and GPS technologies.

# Officially Authorized Commercial implementation of BCI RPG
This is an open source project, so as long as they comply with license, anyone can build on this with attribution, etc. However, only a few are "officially" acknowledged as known projects, and should have a higher level of safety, and especially for giving back to the open source community, rather than just taking and not giving back, as has happened all too much in recent years across many open source projects.
The following have asked and officially been acknowledged as commercial implementations of the BCI RPG:
